Born in Milford, CT, I grew up as the second of four children. I always had a love for adventure, whether it was exploring the woods near my house or climbing whatever was in front of me. In seventh grade I discovered my love for writing. For the first time I found something I was truly good at and had a genuine love for. I began to create stories, expressing my sense of adventure, expanding into poetry and was even undaunted by research papers.
At 17, I became the single parent of the most wonderful child a mother could ask for. By 19, because of the discouragement of those close to me, I gave up on my dream of being a writer, buying into the lie that I could not support a child in that field. I spent years trying this and that to see if something else would fit. I was all over the place, trying this and that and finally settling on jobs simply because they paid the bills and I had the skills to do them well. Through many years of challenges and struggles, I finally began to grow through the limitations I had put on myself. It is this journey that I am passionate about sharing with others. It is never too late to dig that dream out of the dusty, forgotten compartment in your heart and give it a go. Understanding that the joy is in the process, not the destination, has freed me up to enjoy the day to day as I build toward the great visions in my heart.
I currently reside in Florida with my son. I continue with daily small actions that are leading me toward the life I have dreamed of. I love connecting with others and am excited by every opportunity to inspire action in others.
